One of us has been sick with somthing for about three weeks. I think we are all better now and so happy for it. But it makes for nothing new to update on.
We have started back to our schooling . About to jump into the Civil War and that is going to make my oldest so happy. Our co-op is looking into putting on a ball for our end of Unit party.
So i have to get busy making some outfits. It should be a lot of fun.
We just had two birthday's here and the first my son turned 13 on Jan. 5 and I started the sickness that day poor guy missed a family dinner . We had what he asked for and let him open gifts . I had to buy the cake because i just couldn't make it but not all of us sat around the table and enjoyed his day like we normally do. I will take him out soon for a special mother /son lunch date and let him do something special. So he still has some fun weeks later.
Well that is about all going on here. Back to the day to day after the holidays can be a bit sad but then there is also the out with the old and in with the new to look foward too.

12 days of Christmas
I was talking with friend the other day on this but didn't know all the details. So when i read this from someones blog i thought i would still it and post it so i will remember for next year and all the years to come.
I hope you all had a blessed Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
From 1558 until 1829, Roman Catholics in England were not permitted to practice their faith openly. During that era, this carol was written as a catechism song for young children. It has two levels of meaning: the surface meaning plus a hidden meaning known only to members of their church. -The partridge in a pear tree was Jesus Christ.-Two turtle doves were the Old and New Testaments.-Three French hens stood for faith, hope and love.-The four calling birds were the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John. -The five golden rings recalled the Torah or Law, the first five books of the Old Testament. -The six geese a-laying stood for the six days of creation. -Seven swans a-swimming represented the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit--Prophesy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contribution, Leadership, and Mercy. -The eight maids a-milking were the eight beatitudes. -Nine ladies dancing were the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit--Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control.-The ten lords a-leaping were the ten commandments. -The eleven pipers piping stood for the eleven faithful disciples.-The twelve drummers drumming symbolized the twelve points of belief in the Apostles' Creed. "My True Love" of course, is the Giver of all Gifts: God and the receiver, or "me" is every Christian.Well, we aren't Roman Catholic but these catechisms are important not just to Roman Catholics but for all Christians to learn. On our 3rd day of Christmas we will also be including teaching on the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Why? Why not? No better day to teach the trinity.
