How Many Days did you say?

Who in their right mind would be counting down the days to SCHOOL starting. Every year it sneaks up on us and Now the count down begins. Someone has to do it right?
15 days before we begin.  We are with a co op and have to start when they do. What happened to the days of waiting until after Labor Day?  We will be schooling on the road that week but still doing it.  It seems like I have been planning  all summer and now it is almost over and i still have planning to do. When i get it all together i will post it . It looks to be a fun year for us.

Food Confrence. I will be back for updates on this and a few pictures .

Hubby is calling me out for a date for breakfast. He will be gone on a fishing trip with his family for a whole week. IT will be weriod with out him home. But i am glad he will have a good time.

Very Cool Bunk Beds

I know a lot of famlies with more than just a few children. And not a lot of space in their homes. The normal bunk bed just will not do. Here is a daddy that put his skills together and solved the problem in his home.

Summer

What are your plans for summer?  My plans of camping will have to wait until the fall. First of June and already in the 100s.  We just joined the YMCA today and plan to spend a lot of time at the pool and try the rock climbing wall and some Zumba classes. Joshua wants to hit the weights too.

July will bring family reunion. We try to make a mini  vacation out of it.Staying a extra day at the hotel just hanging out at the pool.
There is a food convention i really want to go to here in town and the young lady that wrote Bright Lights bible study we have done for two years will be in Dallas also a big homeschool convention in Houston. But that is a lot so some of it might have to go.

Then Aug. hubby will leave us all behind to visit his sisters. I am happy for him. But we are sad too not to go with him.
Then  off to UTah for Usana's 20th year convention. With Shane this year i am going to take three days to drive and take a few stops along the way. I have always wanted to stop at the Carlsbad Caverns and the Hole in the Rock in Moab Utah. It is like a 5000 scare foot home built in the rock and after the owners passed away they turned it into a petting zoo and tourist spot. I will have to find something on the way home to stop at.  I was hoping for some place in Colorado.
And back to school as soon as we get back. Well i better get busy with all of this to do.  Have a blessed and fun summer.

June

Can you believe it is June already. Wow time goes to fast. I know I say that a lot but it does.  Schooling is done for now.
Joshua will be working during the summer to get caught up on some courses. We are looking into a music camp for him and hopefully that will work out. But if not we are joining a second co-op just for him to do music with a praise band. He just hit it off with these guys. I am just so happy he did. He will also be starting some college credit courses soon. Not sure where he will go with it but we will see.
Wyatt on the other hand just needs to find his grove as you may say. He keeps us laughing all the time. So maybe making people laugh will be his job someday. I bought him a dvd of Tim Hawkins and he had me sit and watch it with him late at night. But it was fun.
Cheyanne wants so bad to do what ever Joshua does with music but i am not so free with her yet plus she has a lot to learn still. She will also do the praise band and be taking violin lessons at the new co-op along with art and drama class. She is excited about it. Even gave up her beloved Bright Lights bible study group to do it. So we are looking into starting a group of our own.
Then Sarah she is so fun to be around. She will be taking ballet at co op the rest of the day she is not to happy about but there will be some friends for her to hang out with. She will love it .
Baby Shane he will be 7 months on Friday and started the army crawl and of course finds all the dirt and junk in the grout of the tile. Yuck.  I forgot about that stage. He still is a BIG mama's boy but as long as i have him he is Happy with a big smile on his face.
We are just getting things set up for school next year with planning and book shopping and when we will be doing what kind of thing and then we will sit back and enjoy the summer.  Two co ops is not going to be easy but will be fun. The hard part is having to plan for teaching classes with a baby and schooling the other four on the days we are not going to co op. But it will be great.
So summer plans will be next up.

What is Up?

It is getting to be that time of year. School is almost over and we are getting the itch for summer fun. Starting tomorrow Joshua is off for a week at the capital in Austin for Teen Pact. He went last year and loved it. IT counts for his government class. But he did not stay at camp last year.
This year he is staying and I am so glad . He will get to stay and hang out with everyone else.
They have games and bible study and the end of the day. But i am a bit scared he will not take care of his blood sugar like he should. He is pretty good at it just mama being worried.

Joshua will be turning 16 this month and Greg and I will be married 18 years. Wow time goes by so fast. Baby Shane has been turning over for weeks now and he is just starting to scoot . Sarah is my little helper with him she just asked me why he cried when she held him and not when I held him.
The best part of spring is the homeschooling bookfairs. I always go to the one here at home in May but this year I am hoping to hit all of the big ones. Dallas is May 11 and 12 and i would have to miss one of the last four weeks of co-op but there is going to be some great speakers there.
One being the young lady that wrote Brightlights bible study that Cheyanne has been going to for two years. Then the one here in town is May 18 and 19. I was thinking of making the Austin one in June but it isn't that big of a deal to me to go. But i really want to make Houston in August.
We also joined our old homeschool support group again last week. And already i am so glad we did. They are a bit of a drive for us but the group is such a blessing. Joshua met a few guys his age that love music like he does. I went to Mom's night out and felt like i never left the group. Ladies where great. We then went to park day the girls played and I talked with the other moms for hours. The boys slept in that day and Wyatt even was a bit sad he missed it. This group has a big teen group that likes to get together and the moms are just so nice and welcoming.
We hope to hit the river here in the next week or two before it gets to hot . I am worried we are going to have another HOT summer. We didn't get much of a cold winter at all . I think it only got below freezing once. And when it gets that hot you just can't take a baby out in it and it is just to yucky to sleep in the tent. So hopefully we can get away a few times before June.
Well that is all the is new with us and baby is getting a little cranky so I better run.
I hope you all have a blessed Easter and remember the HE IS RISEN and will come for us someday.

Hold on Tight

It is hard to believe that Baby Shane is almost 4 months old.
I saw something once and am so sad I forgot to do it. Time goes by so fast. You take a picture each month of your baby with a teddy bear or some stuff animal and as he/she grows up the bear stays the same. I just remembered this a few days ago. And see no reason to not start with month 4 and go from there. He is so big. Weighing in at 15 lbs.
Deep Blue eyes and what hair he has is RED just love it.

I am so blessed from GOD. He opens and closes the womb and can change the hearts of his children even when we think he can't . It is only this work that GOD has done to the reason I have my precious baby son.
And i am learning each day to enjoy the time i have with him because it will be gone in a flash. His big brother will be turning 16 in a month or so. Why does it go by so fast?

I am learning to hold on tight and let the clean cloths on my couch just sit. Hubby likes to wash and dry but not fold and put away. So the clean pile keeps growing. The big kids need to jump in and do some house work but i am to busy holding baby to work with them. So the house goes by each day messy. As much as it bothers me to sit and nurse my son and see the mess around me. I am enjoying this little time i have with him. His smiles just melt me. I do have time to pray over him and his brothers and sisters and our home. This is all a blessing. Hold on tight to the time you are in because it goes by so fast. The important part of life is not is your home spotless but is your home blessed. I love my family and spending time with them needs to come first. Because someday they all will be gone and i will have lots of time to clean.
